In the selection of semi-members of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), some players were found to have manipulated the number of strokes.

The KLPGA announced, “Three players in a group submitted a scorecard that reduced the number of pars compared to the actual number at the 1st semi-member selection practical evaluation held in Gunsan on the 20th.” They advanced to the finals by manipulating the scores, but the KLPGA received a report the day after the competition, confirmed the violation and disqualified them. The KLPGA plans to hold a reward and punishment committee to discuss disciplinary action against the three.

The quasi-membership contest is a gateway for amateur athletes to become professionals, and if they pass it, they will be eligible to participate in the seeding competition of the Jump Tour, the third tier of the tour.
