Kim Joo-hyung (Nike Golf) tied for 11th place in the second round of the PGA Tour Genesis Invitational (total prize money of $20 million).

Kim Joo-hyung recorded 2 under par 69 with 5 birdies and 3 bogeys on the second day of the tournament held at the Riviera Country Club (par 71) in Palisades, California, USA on the 17th (Korean time).

Kim Joo-hyung, who recorded a mid-total of 4 under par 138 strokes, tied for 11th place with world number one Scotty Scheffler, Cameron Young (USA), and Cam Davis (Australia).

Kim Joo-hyung, who emerged as a ‘nova’ on the PGA Tour with two wins in 2022 and one win last year, has yet to meet expectations this season after replacing his caddy.

In the four competitions I participated in before this competition, there was never a ‘top 10’ finish. At the Phoenix Open held last week, he had his best result, tying for 17th place, and he appears to be continuing his momentum this week.

Patrick Cantlay of the U.S. is leading the game. Cantlay, who had seven under par on the first day, added six under par in the second round to take the lead with 13-under 129 overall.

He is far ahead of the joint second-place group, including Luke List (USA), Jason Day (Australia), and Mackenzie Hughes (Canada, 8-under 134) by five strokes.

Cantlay, who has eight career wins on the PGA Tour, had no victory last year. He aims to win the championship for the first time in 16 months since the BMW Championship in August 2022.

Ahn Byung-hoon (CJ), who tied for 8th place and performed well on the first day, slowed down to 1 over par on the day and fell to 20th place with an intermediate total of 3-under 139.

Lim Sung-jae (CJ) passed the cut tied for 42nd with an even-par 142nd, while Kim Si-woo (29, CJ) tied for 48th with a 1-over 143.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, who returned to golf after 10 months, gave up the game by riding a cart into the clubhouse after finishing tee shot on the seventh hole.

After that, an ambulance arrived at the clubhouse, causing great concern.

This is the first regular PGA Tour event in 10 months. Woods did not participate after withdrawing from the Masters in April last year due to leg injury.

Woods revealed that he suffered back spasms from the 16th hole in the first round the previous day and was also “junked” in the 18th hole. 먹튀검증디비
