Korean player Jennifer Song (34, USA), who plays on the LPGA Tour, witnessed a thrilling hole-in-one scene on the second day of the Ford Championship (total prize money of $2.25 million).
The second round of the Ford Championship continued at the Seville Golf and Country Club (par 72, 6,615 yards) in Gilbert, Arizona on the 30th (Korea time). Jennifer Song holed out with a single shot of Iron 8 at Hole 14 (par 3) from 160 yards away.
In this season’s LPGA Tour, Daniel Kang of the U.S. who played as the 17th ace at Hole 11 at Palos Verdes Golf Club where the Cerivac Championship took place last week, and Lee Jia Ren of China, an amateur at Hole 16 of the Blue Bay LPGA final round, participated in the event. There were three holes in one hole. However, the official season record only includes hole-in-ones by Daniel Kang and Jennifer Song, who are members of the LPGA Tour.
Jennifer Song, who joined the LPGA Tour in 2011, recorded her third hole-in-one in her career and 10th ace in her career.
Above all, it was a thrilling moment for LPGA Tour veterans as it was the first time I actually saw a hole-in-one in which the ball went in.
