The summer camp of Guri KCCC, an event prepared by the coaching staff to present unforgettable memories and unity to youth who love basketball, ended successfully.
Director Lee Sung-hwan’s KCC Egis Junior Copper Branch (hereinafter referred to as Guri KCCC) went to Ocean World in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do for a summer camp on the 3rd and 4th.
About 40 youths from U10 to U15 wearing copper KCCC uniforms and learning basketball participated in the summer camp.
They stayed in the water with the coaching staff until the afternoon of the first day, getting rid of the scorching heat. Afterwards, they had a great time at a barbecue party and recreation events where prizes were hung. The prizes were prepared in a variety of ways, including gift cards, Molten basketball and basketball shoes, which attracted positive responses from young people.
On the second day, they also visited the water park. This time, they had a great time together by experiencing luge instead of swimming. Snacks prepared by parents and events with the coaching staff were extra. Guri KCCC youth who participated in the event smiled and expressed their satisfaction at the camp.
Lee Sung-hwan, director of the Guri KCCC, who planned and oversaw the summer camp, said, “There was no time for the academy children to unite because the academy opened during the COVID-19 period. For the first time since the aftermath of COVID-19, we have prepared a summer camp to build unforgettable memories and unity for the children of the academy.”
What was the half of the coaching staff like to see the youth’s happy expressions and satisfaction? Director Lee Seong-hwan, who provided the children with memories through the new attempt, said, “I was worried about whether I could fit in with all the children because of the various age groups, but the older brothers took good care of the younger brothers more than I thought, and the younger brothers followed the older brothers well and showed good performance. Of course, it was hard to take care of the children for two days and one night, but it was so rewarding because the children laughed and had fun enough to forget the difficulties. I will continue to work hard for unity and communication with the children through various events.”
Guri KCC youth, who are united through basketball, are growing into one team by making memories together in addition to basketball.
